Homemade French Fries

 

Satisfy your cravings with this super simple recipe. You’ll never go back to store-bought again!

Ingredients

  • Brush potatoes (1 potato = 1 serve)

  • ¼ tsp sea salt

  • ¼ tsp paprika

  • ¼ corn flour

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Extra sea salt for seasoning

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

  2. Wash potatoes thoroughly and dry.

  3. Cut potatoes (length ways) into roughly 5mm wide slices then cut into matchsticks.

  4. Place potatoes into a bowl of ice water for 5 minutes then strain and pat dry with paper towels or tea towel.

  5. In a bowl, add potatoes, sea salt, paprika, corn flour and olive oil - mix until well coated.

  6. On a lined baking tray, spread potatoes evenly so they are barely touching.

  7. Increase oven temperature to 200°C and bake potatoes for 20 minutes.

  8. After 20 minutes, flip fries and bake for another 10 minutes.

  9. Once cooked, allow fries to cool for 2 minutes then season with sea salt and serve.
